2. Mason Jar Mummy Lanterns
These glowing mummy lanterns are perfect for lining your driveway, decorating a windowsill, or lighting up a dark hallway on Halloween night. Start with clean, empty glass mason jars of any size. Apply a generous layer of non-toxic liquid school glue or Mod Podge all over the outside of the jar using a foam brush. Wrap strips of white gauze bandage or crepe paper streamers around the jar, overlapping them slightly to mimic the wrapped look of an ancient mummy. Be sure to leave a few small gaps for the light to shine through. Glue two large googly eyes near the top of the jar, peeking out from between the bandages. Pop a battery-operated LED tea light inside, and watch your mummy come to life with a warm, eerie glow. It is a mess-free, delightful project that children of all ages will absolutely adore making.
