19. Floating Cheesecloth Ghosts
Create eerie, freestanding floating ghosts that look incredibly professional but are simple enough for kids to make. Blow up a small balloon and place it on top of a plastic cup or jar to create a stand. Cut a piece of white cheesecloth into squares. In a bowl, mix equal parts white school glue and water. Dip the cheesecloth into the glue mixture, ensuring it is fully saturated, then gently drape it over the balloon and cup structure, letting the edges flare out at the bottom. Once completely dry and stiff (usually overnight), carefully pop the balloon and remove the cup. You will be left with a rigid, freestanding ghostly figure. Add two small black felt eyes to complete the spooky, floating illusion.
