13. Creepy Crawling Tentacles
Unleash the wrath of the Kraken or a mysterious deep-sea monster from your home’s exterior. Giant, writhing tentacles emerging from your windows or wrapping around your porch pillars create a high-impact, theatrical display that will make your house the talk of the neighborhood.
Use extra-long, thick pool noodles for this project. Insert heavy-duty wire or flexible conduit through the center so the tentacles can hold their dramatic, waving shapes. Paint the noodles in deep sea greens, purples, or dark blues. To create the suction cups, slice another pool noodle (preferably in a contrasting color like pink or light green) into thin discs, hollow out the centers slightly, and glue them in a double row along the underside of each tentacle. Secure these monstrous limbs to your porch or window frames, angling them as if they are actively scaling your home.
