10. Giant Yard Spiders Made of Foam Pipes

10

Turn your front lawn into a terrifying arachnid nesting ground with giant, poseable spiders. By using cheap foam pipe insulation tubes and black garbage bags, you can construct massive spiders with leg spans reaching up to eight feet wide. These oversized monsters can be positioned climbing up your roof, hanging from your gutters, or crouching on your lawn, ready to pounce on unsuspecting visitors.

Create the spider’s body by stuffing a black trash bag with crumpled newspaper or plastic bags, shaping it into a large round abdomen and a smaller head. For the legs, insert flexible, thick wire (like coat hangers or heavy-gauge copper wire) through foam pipe insulation tubes. Cut the tubes into sections to create joints, tape them together, and wrap the entire leg in black duct tape or black plastic wrap. Attach four legs to each side of the body, bend them into realistic, creepy angles, and add red reflective tape or plastic cups for glaring eyes.
