Find an old, thick hardcover book from a thrift store. To create the iconic raised details on the cover, use hot glue to draw runes, crescent moons, or abstract branch patterns directly onto the cardboard. For a truly creepy focal point, glue a large glass taxidermy eye (such as a dragon or cat eye) to the center of the cover, building up “eyelids” around it using air-dry clay or hot glue.
