As the white candles burn, the heat melts the hidden red wax, causing streams of “blood” to run down the sides and pool at the base. To create these bloody candles, you will need several thick, white or cream-colored pillar candles of varying heights and one or two vibrant red taper candles. Place the white pillars on a protective sheet of wax paper. Light a red taper candle and hold it at an angle over the white pillars, allowing the melting red wax to drip slowly over the top edges.
