10. Retro Cardstock Party Masks

10

In the 1920s and 30s, masquerade parties were the height of Halloween fashion, and guests often wore simple, brightly colored cardstock masks. You can recreate these charming accessories using heavy cardstock, acrylic paints, and vintage-inspired designs. Draw classic characters like a retro devil, a green-faced witch, a classic skull, or a stylized owl. Paint them with a vibrant, slightly muted color palette to mimic the printing techniques of the era. Cut out the eyes and punch holes on either side of the mask to tie a thin black elastic band or ribbon. These masks look beautiful displayed on a wall, tucked into a wreath, or worn by guests at your next retro-themed gathering.
