12. Vintage Book Page Spell Book
Turn an old, unwanted hardcover book into a mystical spell book that looks like it belongs in an ancient wizard’s library. This craft is highly customizable and allows for endless creativity. Open your book to the middle pages. To make the pages look aged and weathered, brush them with a wash of instant coffee or black tea. Once dry, use Mod Podge to glue the pages down so they lay open, curving upward slightly at the edges to give them dimension.
Next, use a hot glue gun to write spooky spells, draw mystical symbols, or create raised borders on the pages. Once the glue is dry, paint over the entire surface with acrylic paints, using shades of brown, black, and gold to highlight the raised glue designs and make them look like embossed leather or metal. You can also attach 3D elements like plastic spiders, metal keys, or faux gemstones using hot glue. Display the book open on a wooden stand surrounded by candles.
