Built deep within the earth to take advantage of natural cave generation, this sunken courtyard turns a subterranean drop into an enchanted bioluminescent wonderland. Deepslate tiles and moss blocks form the foundation of the open pit, while wild growths of cave vines, glow berries, and dripstone stalactites hang down from the cavernous roof opening above. At the heart of the courtyard, an illuminated pond filled with glow squid and axolotls emits a soft, soothing blue glow, mirroring the light from scattered spore blossoms and amethyst clusters built into the structural pillars. The surrounding home is integrated directly into the surrounding stone walls, featuring curved glass walls and wooden balconies that overhang the courtyard pit, offering dramatic, elevated views of this magical underground ecosystem.
