18. Glass-Domed Sunken Observatory
For builders who want the open-air aesthetic of a sunken courtyard without exposing their base to rain or phantom attacks, this design seals the subterranean pit beneath a massive, flush glass dome built at surface level. Below the clear glass ceiling, the multi-level courtyard receives full sunlight and starry night views while remaining completely climate-controlled. The interior space features a central astronomical observatory with a custom-built spyglass telescope, surrounded by terraced flower gardens and smooth quartz lounge areas. The perimeter walls house multi-story library archives and enchanting tables, creating an intellectually inspiring, luminous underground retreat suited for scholars and mages.
