14. Desert Ruin Excavation Compound

14

Designed to look like an ongoing archeological discovery, this sunken courtyard is built into the floor of a desert temple or ancient ruin structure. Chiseled sandstone, mud bricks, and exposed bone blocks line the walls of the deep pit, interspersed with hanging ropes, wooden scaffolding balconies, and glowing torches. The central courtyard contains an exposed mosaic tile floor made from terracotta and lapis lazuli, partially buried under drift sand and desert flora. The living spaces are seamlessly integrated into the excavated archaeological tunnels surrounding the pit, filled with artifact display frames, ancient books, and hidden treasure vaults, giving the home a strong sense of history, mystery, and adventurous style.
