Capture the mysterious aura of an early 20th-century spiritualist gathering with a mantle focused on reflections and flickering light. The centerpiece of this design is a collection of mismatched vintage mirrors, which you can find at thrift stores and paint with a distressed pewter finish. To create a “haunted” look, lightly spray the mirror glass with a mixture of water and vinegar, then mist with black spray paint and wipe away sections to create an aged, cloudy patina. Arrange dozens of LED tea lights and pillar candles of various heights in front of the mirrors to multiply the flickering flames.
