Haunted Mirror with Ghostly Apparitions
Turn an ordinary household mirror into a chilling portal to the spirit world with a DIY haunted mirror project. By using a vintage-style mirror with an ornate frame, you can create the illusion of a ghostly figure trapped behind the glass. This is achieved by carefully removing the backing of the mirror and applying a translucent, printed image of a Victorian ghost or a skeletal figure to the back of the glass, then sealing it with a light layer of frosted glass spray paint.
When the mirror is reassembled, the figure will appear faint and ethereal, only becoming clearly visible when the light hits the glass from certain angles. If you prefer not to alter a permanent mirror, you can achieve a similar temporary effect using static-cling decals or tracing designs with dry-erase markers and smudging them for a dusty, aged look. Hang it in a dimly lit hallway or bathroom to give your guests a delightful, unexpected fright when they check their reflection.
