Black Cat Paper Plate Mask
Celebrate the mysterious charm of Halloween with a classic black cat craft. Let your baby explore the texture of black tissue paper by tearing it into small pieces—a fantastic activity for developing fine motor strength. Help them glue the torn paper onto a paper plate until it is completely covered in a fuzzy, textured black coat. Cut out two simple triangle ears from black construction paper and attach them to the top of the plate.
Instead of cutting out eye holes which can be uncomfortable for a baby, glue large green or yellow paper eyes directly onto the plate, along with pink pipe cleaner whiskers. This creates a friendly, tactile cat face that your baby can touch and explore. It is a wonderful way to introduce animal sounds and vocabulary while enjoying a hands-on, multi-textured crafting session.
