18. The Sunken Jungle Oasis and Oak Pavilion
Brief Idea Introduction
Built around a natural jungle sinkhole, this architectural oasis features a sunken sparkling water pool surrounded by luxurious oak wood relaxation pavilions.
What This Idea Means
This layout utilizes a natural crater or excavated depression in the landscape. The bottom houses a clear water pool, while open-air oak wood gazebos ring the rim.
How to Make It
- Basin Excavation: Carve a wide circular pit into the jungle floor, lining the slopes with mossy stone and jungle logs.
- Oasis Pool: Fill the bottom of the sinkhole with water source blocks, tropical fish, and lily pads.
- Pavilion Construction: Build open-air pillared gazebos around the rim using oak wood beams and fence railings.
- Hanging Gardens: Hang flowering vines and weeping jungle leaves down the crater walls toward the water below.
Tips and Variations
- Tip: Run a stone staircase down the side of the crater to provide easy access from the upper jungle to the pool.
- Variation: Build a hidden cave grotto entrance branching off from the bottom of the sunken pool.
