10. The Half-Buried Treasure Chest
Okay, a little mystery never hurt anyone. Bury a chest up to its lid in the dirt near the edge of camp, with a few gold ingots spilling out and a shovel stuck in the ground beside it. Add a torch, unlit, and a trail of footprints leading away into the trees.
Keep it subtle. One chest, one shovel, one story. Players will find it, and they will invent the rest of the tale themselves, which is exactly what a good build should let them do.
